What to Expect
Family photos are easy to put off and impossible to go back and take later. We make the session simple: you bring the family, we handle the setup, lighting and posing, and keep things moving at a pace the children can manage.
We photograph babies, toddlers and older children, mother and baby portraits, siblings, and full family groups including grandparents. Sessions can take place in our studio or outdoors.

Prices depend on the number of people, whether the session is in the studio or outdoors, and the number of outfits or setups.
Baby Photos
Babies change every month. Popular times for photos are around three months, when babies hold their heads up and start smiling, six months, when they can sit up, and the first birthday. We keep the studio warm, work around feeding and nap times, and never use poses that put your baby at risk.
Kids' Birthday Shoots
A birthday shoot is a lovely way to mark each year as your child grows. Bring the outfit, the cake and the balloons, and we will take care of the rest. We can photograph your child in the studio, or cover the party itself.
Tips for a Great Family Session
- Book a time when the children are usually rested and fed
- Coordinate colours across the family instead of wearing identical outfits
- Bring a snack and a favourite toy for younger children
- Leave the smiles to us: relaxed parents make for relaxed kids

What is the best age for baby photos?
Around three months, six months and the first birthday are the most popular milestones, but any age is a good time to start.
What if my child gets upset during the shoot?
It happens in almost every kids session. We take a break, let them settle and try again. Some of the best photos come after a calm-down.
Can grandparents and extended family join?
Yes. Let us know how many people are coming so we can plan the space and lighting. For very large groups, an outdoor session often works best.
Can you cover my child's birthday party?
Yes. We can do a birthday shoot in the studio, cover the party itself, or both.
How much does a family photoshoot cost?
It depends on the number of people, the location and how many outfits or setups you want. Contact us and we will send you a quote.
